Twin Flames, Soul Mates?

right, then if all that is true, which every bit is, so dammit for posting the truth in a summary   then that means another lifetime of the same agony as well..... but at least you ended it nicely by saying we'll have a soulmate, I didn't think of that possibility

Just wanted to share my thoughts and experiences on the subject. Idk if my two cents will be useful to anyone, but I love these types of topics/discussions lol

My philosophy:

I believe twin flames are a spiritual phenomenon that occur to propel some aspect of humanity’s development (be it spiritual, material or social). I’m of the belief that, although their union is a beautiful thing to behold and is spiritually uplifting, there is a larger mission/goal they are meant to focus on outside of their relationship. This mission can be any multitude of things and it might require the twins to either be separate or in union, but either way I think their romantic connection is secondary. Meeting a twin flame is a catalyst of sorts, and the resulting effects/traumas drive each twin towards their destined life paths (I also believe in a combination of fate/free will, so it is ultimately the choice of the twin to follow the path made known to them or not). Sometimes these life paths require the twins to stay together, and unfortunately other times they do not.

Idk if this is a universal truth or not, but it’s the way I’ve always viewed it. Honestly, I think a romantic soul mate connection is far more preferable since the relationship can be the main focus of your energies and you can enjoy yourselves without focusing on the agenda of your higher self 😬 But I digress 😂

My experience (its long; feel free to skip 😅)

I’m a twin, but I haven’t been in union yet due to a combination of spiritual blocks and free choice (also, if anyone is curious about the labels, I’m the divine feminine and the runner 😅)

When I was 11, I was in a really bad home situation and was suicidal. One day, I reached out to my mom for and she completely rejected me. The resulting backlash made my attempted suicide that night a guarantee. Like the days before, I waited till everyone was asleep and pulled a knife from the kitchen drawer. Idk what stopped me, it’s all a blank after I pulled the knife. What I do remember is that I had a vivid dream about a person (bright white, snippets of their face and smile) and a feeling of unconditional love that I never dreamt possible. I remember waking up in tears and having the words “You can’t die yet. They’re waiting for you” going around in my head, but it felt like they weren’t my thoughts and were instead being said by someone else. Something changed in me that night and I never thought about taking my life again.

In my adolescence, I was obsessed with finding the meaning of that dream. I never found an answer, but I was painfully aware that I was connected to someone else on this earth. They were my reason for living for years, but I knew we weren’t going to meet anytime soon.

Fast forward to sophomore year of high school, I felt like the distance seperating us was getting shorter and the cord connecting us was getting stronger. I found the term “twin flame” around this time and knew that’s what this connection was. In my senior year, he reached out to me for the first time. The abstract person I had always felt on the other end of this connection became mind numbingly real and “spoke” to me ( turns out we’re telepathically and subconsciously connected). I became obsessed again and he went quiet for two years (saying it was for my own good and, though it killed me emotionally, I agreed).

Sophomore year of college, he reached out again. We “spoke”, we dreamt of each other, we played with the energy between us. By this point, I was aware that although I was obsessed with this connection, my life was meant to be devoted to my academic and professional development. His life path was the same and we were acutely aware that we were meant to develop each other’s careers and each other professionally. Fortunately though, this life path had room for us to devote ourselves to each other romantically as well... if we chose to. Free will is terrifying lol

Present day, I’m a young adult working in a different country and I’m trying to find my life path. He (frustratingly) has already found his and is waiting for me (he’s more advanced spiritually as well) our union is very close, but it hinges on (1) me finding my life path and (2) me not running away. I’ve stalled and evaded our connection for 1-2 years now and am unsure when I’ll be ready for the responsibility of our connection.

So, I’ve been seeing 11:11 A LOT in the past month. I haven’t met my twin flame yet, but I have had a recent romantic connection with someone and I tend to interpret the occurrence of 11:11 as a way of the universe saying “this connection is readying you for your twin” as opposed to it pointing to them actually BEING my twin, yknow?

Well, 11:11 has been popping up left and right for me (as times, but also as game scores, numbers at work, locations, etc.), but on the way to work today I think I got a sign that there’s been some sort of shift in my life/energy.

I stopped by a vending machine before walking into work and bought my usual morning energy drink. I put in 100 yen and pressed the icon, but after the drink dropped down the machine started chiming ( like a slot machine at a casino), started flashing off and on and the numbers on the display were flashing 2222.

I feel like it’s some sort of sign from the universe but I’m unsure of what the actual meaning is. What do you guys think? Do you think it means my twin is close or is thinking of me? Do you think my current romantic connection might be more substantial than I initially thought? Any thoughts are welcome

(In case you’re wondering, no, this is not normal vending machine behavior in Japan. Pretty sure that machine is now fried LOL)

Also...I’m confused why they said that it has to be a union that signs up...what if you don’t want your TF to know you’re looking for guidance or your TF doesn’t know about the concept/doesn’t believe?
