Hi all,
Recently I have been thinking about the validity of psychic and tarot readings and the extent to which a reading (of any kind) can really "predict" the outcome of an relationship or outcome.
Let me be completely honest, over the last few years, I have had number of readings on the same issue and I've probably received a 50/50 split in terms of whether my relationship with my POI will turn out as I want it to. Some readers have said no, we won't get back together and then, after I have changed my user ID (usually because I take mental/emotional breaks), they've said yes we will get back together. Some readers have said yes, we will get back together regardless of the user ID that I have used. Others say that the end result situation will be up to me - I will have a choice between my POI and someone else, or I will simply choose to walk away... with or without a stand by man. On very extreme occasions, a handful haven't even spent that long talking to me, they've just said 'no!' and don't waste your money or your time.
My question is: In your experience, who has been the correct reader? The most recent reader? or the very first one who read for you? Or, have they all correct in their own way, as they were picking up different elements of the same story?
What strikes me, is that there a number of different opinions as to whether various divination methods can really even predict the outcome of a situation in the first place! For example:
a. Yona Farrell told me that she thought life was pre-destined and no matter what one does, their path has been planned from the moment they came into being i.e. One will get from A to Z - regardless of the path that they take and there is nothing they can do about that.
b. Keen's article on conflicting readings provides additional reasons as to why divination methods do not necessarily predict outcomes correctly - www.keen.com/articles/psychic/conflicting-psychic-readings-reasons
c. Bridget Esselmont (Biddy Tarot) says: 'Many of my Tarot readings do focus on present energies, with a view to understand where the client is heading in the future. The client can see that if they head down the current path, it will lead to a particular outcome. If the client doesn’t like that outcome, then they can make the necessary changes now, and shift their direction towards a more positive outcome.' - www.biddytarot.com/predict-the-future-or-understand-the-present/
Biddy also quotes from Paulo Coelho’s book, The Alchemist:
“When people consult me, it’s not that I’m reading the future; I am guessing at the future… How do I guess at the future? Based on the omens of the present. The secret is here in the present. If you pay attention to the present, you can improve upon it. And if you improve on the present, what comes later will also be better.”
Summing up
I know there are going to be a number of people who read this post/board who say that multiple readings are bad, because they confuse things (and I definitely agree - hence the publication of this post lol)... but from reading some of the posts here... I know that quite a few of us have done it, and me being a nosy Gemini... I would LOVE to know what your experience has been with conflicting readings
